Is Coffee Really Bad For You?

We’ve got good news for coffee and tea drinkers!   You don’t have to give up your favorite warm beverage if you are on a journey to better health.   The fact is that both coffee and tea contain powerful health benefits and effective antioxidants, and when used in moderation they can be a key player in helping your body to reduce cellular toxicity. According to an article in Popular Science Magazine “7 Reasons Why Coffee Is Good For You” February, 2013  coffee has a number of scientifically proven health benefits, including modern research which points to lowering risk for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease.

Coffee is a cup full of nutrients and antioxidants 

  • 6% of daily Pantothenic Acid – Vitamin B5
  • 11% of daily Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)
  • 2% of daily Niacin (Vitamin B3 and Thiamine B1)
  • 3% of daily Potassium and Manganese

Whether you drink coffee or tea, please remember that the operable keyword is always moderation.  Too much of anything is bad for you, and caffeine can have a detrimental impact on blood pressure, heart health, anxiety and stress and other health concerns. It’s also a good idea to stay hydrated as this has effects on your health.
