Allergy season is upon us, and many are feeling the effects of pollen, animal dander, and other common allergens. There are other allergy triggers you may not be aware of, including some that may be in your home. Here are some lesser known allergens to watch out for:

  • Packaging for home electronics. Chances are, your new keyboard or television came wrapped in plastic bags or other such packaging. All that plastic can trap chemical fumes that may cause allergic reactions. Open any new home electronics outside, then let them sit for about a half hour before you take them inside.

  • Air fresheners and scented candles. These products merely hide odors instead of eliminating them, and the chemicals that give them their scents can trigger allergy attacks. Use activated charcoal and essential oils in areas where odor is a problem.

  • Dry cleaning. If your dry cleaner uses perchloroethylene, you are bringing its fumes into your home every time you pick up or wear dry cleaned clothes. Perchloroethylene is a possible carcinogen and can also cause allergic reactions. Many cleaners are switching from using this chemical, so a little research may turn up a dry cleaner in your area who doesn’t use it.

  • Spices. Spices such as garlic, cinnamon, and cardamom can trigger allergic reactions when eaten by sensitive individuals. Some spices are used in cosmetic products as well, so if you know you’re sensitive to a certain herb, check labels while shopping. If all the ingredients of a certain product aren’t listed, try applying a small amount of the product to the back of your hand.

  • Wood fires. The glow of the backyard barbecue or fire pit on the patio is enjoyable, but the smoke and particles cast off from a wood fire may cause coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. The American Lung Association recommends propane or gas grilling for those who are sensitive to smoke from a wood fire.

These allergic reactions can be prevented by changing some behaviors around your home, but for the itchy, watery eyes and congestion caused by most common allergens, you may want to try our newest supplement based on the research of Dr. Robert Keller, Natural Allergy Relief™ (NAR).

Allergic reactions are caused when your immune system overreacts to natural substances such as dust, pollen, or pet dander. The antihistamines found in ordinary allergy medicines that are either bought via prescription or over the counter only block your body’s reaction to these substances; they don’t do anything to address the causes of these reactions.

Dr. Keller knew there had to be a better way to relieve the suffering of allergy patients, so he worked closely with a Chinese endocrinologist to formulate a supplement using natural ingredients such as ginseng, ginkgo, and rice bran which have been part of traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Check out these tips to get through allergy season.

Natural Allergy Relief™ doesn’t just block the symptoms of your allergic reaction; instead, it may actually help to moderate your body’s response to your everyday indoor or outdoor allergy triggers. We invite you to try NAR and experience for yourself how it can support your immune system this allergy season and all year round.
